The person and work of Jesus Christ is the heart, essence, and totality of the Christian faith. Who He is and what He has accomplished, obtained, and promised to do is the whole of your salvation. Simply put: you can never be too Christ-centered. This is especially true in light of what Paul wrote: “All things were created through him and for him” (Col. 1:16).
This one-year devotional is based on what Jesus said: “You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me” (John 5:39). The Bible is, first and foremost, the testimony of God’s own Son—the written word testifying of the living Word. Unless you purposefully read God’s word with such a Christ-centered mindset, you’ll miss its main message.
It’s All about Jesus is much more than a gospel presentation, though. It seeks to communicate, although imperfectly, the beauty, excellence, and glory of God’s Son in creation, history, salvation, and eternity. This one-year devotional will encourage you in your admiration of Him.
